不指定是哪一些，就是"几个/一点儿"
I have a few friends.
我有几个朋友（泛指）
I need a little time.
我需要一点儿时间
a few / a little / a bit of + of + 限定词 + 名词
指定是"哪些中的几个/一点儿"
I have a few of my friends here.
我在这里有我的几个朋友（特指"我的"朋友中的几个）
I read a bit of that book.
那本书我看了一点儿

这条规则 不适用于 a bit → few/little 才有肯定/否定翻转；a bit 没有 bit 这种独立对应形式。
